1- What documentation do I need to access the Eiffel Tower?
Eiffel Tower tickets are personalised (name-based), so bring your ticket (QR code) and a valid ID for each visitor (including children). If you’ve booked a discounted fare (age, disability, etc.), you may be asked to show proof of eligibility at the entrance. Also note that security checks are mandatory before you can access the site.
2- How do I get to the Eiffel Tower?
The Eiffel Tower is very well connected to Paris. Main address reference: Champ de Mars, 5 Av. Anatole France, 75007 Paris.
Metro: Trocadéro (Line 9), Bir-Hakeim (Line 6), École Militaire (Line 8).
RER: Champ de Mars – Tour Eiffel (RER C).
Bus: Lines 82, 30, 42, 69 and 86 (stops within a 10-minute walk).
By car: It’s best to use nearby covered car parks (for example around Quai Branly–Tour Eiffel).
Site entrances: There are two main entrances for the first security screening (Entrance 1 SOUTH and Entrance 2 EAST). Once inside the forecourt, follow the signs to the correct queue (lifts or stairs), and you’ll go through a second security check before going up.
3- Can I bring the tickets in digital format?
Yes. You can show your e-ticket on your phone (or print it). It’s valid as long as the QR code is clearly readable.
4- Do children need tickets?
Yes—everyone needs a ticket to access the visit areas (including children).
Under 4: free admission, but a ticket is still issued, and they may request proof of age/ID.
Children 4–11: reduced fare (proof may be requested).
Young people 12–24: reduced fare (proof may be requested).
5- Can I modify or cancel my tickets?
It depends on the product you book. For official Eiffel Tower ticket office purchases, once the booking is confirmed, tickets are generally non-cancellable, non-changeable and non-refundable, and they are valid only for the date, time and level shown on the ticket.
6- Can I exercise my right of withdrawal?
No, as stated in Law 3/2014, of March 27, which amends the revised text of the General Law for the Defense of Consumers and Users and other complementary laws, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007, of November 16. As it is well indicated in its article 103, regarding the exceptions to the right of withdrawal:
l) The provision of lodging services for purposes other than housing, transportation of goods, car rental, food or services related to leisure activities, if the contracts provide for a specific date or period of performance.
7- In case of making a reservation with AUDIO GUIDE
Depending on the activity, you may either:
receive credentials/instructions to use an audio guide in an app or web format, or
use official visitor resources on your phone.
The Eiffel Tower offers an official free mobile guide accessible via your browser (no app download required), and there is free Wi-Fi on site. Tip: bring a fully charged smartphone, enough free storage, and your own earphones.
8- Are the activities accessible?
Accessibility details should be specified for each activity. In general, the Eiffel Tower provides support measures and priority access for visitors with disabilities. Important: the stairs and the summit are not accessible for visitors with reduced mobility using a wheelchair or crutches (for safety reasons). In those cases, the recommended option is the lift to the 2nd floor.
